Our family of four spent 28 days in Myanmar in February 2000. At that time there were no public internet or cell phones in Myanmar, so pre-trip planning was close to nonexistent. On the strength of a couple patchy landline conversations from Canada and then Bangkok, and with no reliable way to wire a deposit, Kyaw Zin was waiting at the airport (of course) with our names on a card. We planned an itinerary together on our first night in Yangon, and then toured with Kyaw Zin for a bit more than two weeks. We spent the last 10 days in a small town on our own, but Kyaw Zin still took care of us for the whole of our visit, conscientiously assisting with accommodation, transactions, and the answering of endless questions. He fussed over our daughters as if they were his own, and was always cheerful and patient. We wholeheartedly recommend Kyaw Zin's services to visitors to Myanmar.
