Myanmar

The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, or Burma, lies on the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea coast with Bangladesh and India to the west, China to the north, and Laos and Thailand to the east.  

 

Population  60,280,000 (2010 estimate)

Religion  89% Buddhist, 4% Christian, 4% Muslim

Climate  Myanmar is considered to have 3 seasons. The hot season is usually from March-April, and temperatures then cool off during the rainy season from May-October. The peak tourism season is the cool season from November-February.

Language  Burmese, English, Shan dialects, Kayin, Mon, Chinese dialects, Hindi, Tamil

People  Most Burmese people are friendly and polite, and will do their best to make you feel welcome in their country.

Travel  A tourist visa is valid for 28 days from arrival.

 

Nibbana is not situated in any Bhumis nor is it a sort of heaven.  It is a state which is dependent upon ourselves.
